So I decided to go play some soccer today with Vlad. I couldn't kick with my right foot because my right ankle is absolutely killing me. I started being goalkeeper which I love because I love diving and blocking shots. I also did kick left footed. I actually was impressed with how much better I had gotten left footed. It was also my 9th time ever playing soccer lol. I hope that the people who I am about to mention did not notice me playing...They don't need to spread the word about my lack of abilities.
I couldn't help but notice who were playing on the other side of the field. They need to get their credit in my blog for their hard work...away from their coaches. I saw Amanda Schwartz, Brianna Gray, Kacey Richards, Courtney Wilkinson Maitland and Shawn Nicklaw playing soccer over by the softball field. I love that they were practicing and playing even when their coaches weren't there telling them that they needed to be. It shows a passion for the game of soccer. It also makes me happy to see them practice and put in some work in their free time.
I am happy that I will be showing both the men's and women's soccer teams some support in the fall.
I am thrilled that Men's Soccer Senior Day will be held on my 21st birthday.
