Willis Reed and Amazingness all in the same day

So I got up at 6:50am on Saturday morning to head over to Coventry Lake to watch Rowing. I am glad that I went. I went into the woods and on to a hill with an overlook of the course. I saw Willis Reed....aka Kristen Beasley in the Varsity 8 in Witryol's wake. Willis was the reason that I went. It was choppy which made the boats harder to control and the wind was at the teams backs. By the time the race was over Willis had exerted herself so much that she felt a little sick. She also had to pull through her shoulder injury too. She did, and we expect nothing less from someone such as Willis Reed. I also got to see where they kept their boats. It was interesting and you should stop by and watch a race. This morning was cold and windy, so it woke me up, but I imagine that it would be really nice to watch when it is warmer out.

On top of that I saw Amazingness compete today in the 1500 meters. She finished in 2nd.

Ashley O'Brien won the 800 meter race.

I also heard that Tynisha McMillian is red-shirted for outdoors. Victoria Flowers dominated the throws. Amanda Martin won Javelin.

Anthony Burris Won the 400 meter race, Kyle Edmonds finished 2nd.

Jamaal Smith took the Long Jump.

Most importantly the Bennatan Brothers did something that I think is amazing. These identical twins were both competing in the same events, 1500 meter run and the 800 meter run. Alex and Tim Bennatan recorded the exact same time for the 1500 meter run and were three-one-hundreths of a second different for the 800 meter race. They virtually ran the exact same times. It was funny watching them race the 800 too. I was watching with my friend Dan Holst who ran the 4x400 relay and the 1500 meter run today. The two of them went back and forth down the home stretch. One would speed up then the other would catch up, back and forth they went. They apparently almost always run the same times so the team was really going to get excited if one of them pulled ahead of the other, but it didn't happen. I think that the Bennatan brother's performances are amazing. Identical Twins running Virtually Identical times. I'm sure there are a few professors at UConn who would find that fascinating.

I just wish it was warmer out today!
