Action Shots

Athletes seem to forget that there is no such thing as a good looking action shot. I always hear about needing to find another picture and I'm more than happy to let them look. The fact of the matter is that there is no such thing as a good looking action photo.

There are some that are worse than others, but there aren't usually good ones. It's not that often that people stop and smile for the photographer while they get a good touch and pass the ball.

Not here, don't care

One thing I have learned through working with a team is how little I care about athletes who aren't here. Fans are so obsessed with recruits and recruiting, yet from my experiences all I care about are the players who are there. I care about them and don't care about potential players or rumored players. I root for whoever is there and hope they get better.

I also have to say that the toughest part of my job is when you see those you support fail because that's the last thing you want to see them do. It's so hard seeing them injured, or struggling. It's painful because I want them to succeed so badly.

U Kan do it

U Kan do it, U Kan play for Centukcy Bascetball.

U R smart enough to play at Centukcy and Koakh Kalipari.

Kan't spel, no problem.

Got a D, we will get it up to a believeable B+

Does anyone actually think that Eric Bledose didn't cheat on his transcript? Does someone really think that changing schools could account for a very good basketball player's grades to go up as a senior? Was Bledsoe lucky enough not to have senioritis?

How could a student who could barely get a 2.0 could be expected to get an A in Alegbra 3 before taking Algebra 2?

Did Kentucky cheat? Was Eric Bledsoe eligibile..probably...

Why can't the person who deserves it win it?

Weekly awards. They sometimes go to the person who deserves the award. Top Drawer Soccer and College Soccer 360 got it right.

Explain to me how the NSCAA couldn't get it right. Is two goals, one match winner and an assist better than four goals and two match winnners.

No!

Unfortunetly weekly awards rarely go to the most deserving person. Sometimes they do, but conferences and award selection committees like to give it to a team that doesn't usually get recognized because those teams are no good. The last place team in the conference beat a bad Division I school 1-0 in overtime. Let's give the award to their player because they never win. They never go, oh let's give it to the girl who scored two goals this weekend from the best team in the conference.

Look at the winners of the weekly awards and see how often they translate to player of the year awards. I swear I've seen a player win player of the year award but never the player of the week award. Does that make any sense?

What's up with me

So as you should be able to imagine the months of August-December will be EXTREMELY busy and will prevent me from posting as often as I'd like. I've got graduate school and a season to take care of.

It's funny, it's easy to think I'm less involved with less writing, but the exact opposite is true. I probably spend two or three times as much time working than what the players think I do.

There is so much behind the scenes that needs to be done.

Also, someone who plays in goal should have passed a long an email address to someone who reads my posts often.

The Best Grocery Store

It appears as if there is a misconception in the world about the best grocery store in the country. The answer is not Wegman's. Although they are nice and impressive, they are not the best grocery stores.

Market Basket is probably as good as Wegman's. Low Prices...but more importantly everyone is dressed in a Shirt and Tie or business casual attire for women.

Stew Leonard's is by far the best Grocery Store in the entire country. If you haven't been you must go. I've been to the one in Norwalk, CT a lot.

There is one off of I-84 in Danbury, CT. and I highly suggest that if you were say coming from upstate New York and going to say UCONN that I would stop there to eat.
