I was so impressed with former Basketball player Brittany Hunter because she always battled through her knee injury to give 10-15 great minutes a game. She was a spark for the team. I asked her if she played even more aggressivly than she used to because she could only give 10-15 minutes. I thought that maybe she'd try to do more in those minutes to make up for the fact that she couldn't play the whole game.
It's hard to imagine just how great her career would have been had she played 30 minutes a game. I also thought that she would make a tremendous coach one day because of what she had to go through with her injuries. She knew how to get the most out of herself so I thought she would be able to get the most out of other players. When I asked Geno about it, he didn't think any of his 2008 seniors would coach. I was right, she would end up coaching. She was an assistant at Temple last year. Don't worry Geno is right 100x for every one time I am right.
She gave an obvious answer to that question and that would be NO...She said you should always be aggressive.
I've always remembered her saying that. I try to take that as something to live by. Try is the key work because I find myself being too passive at times.
You always have to get after it, whether it be a loose ball, or trying to score...you always give 110%...in life and in sports. Never take a play off or as Coach Edsall says something like "play every play as if it is your last play."
