I do enjoy going to UConn Volleyball too. Well I enjoy watching all of UConn's teams. Anyway with my recent talk about volleyball I was reminded of the time a Marquette player threw and kicked a volleyball at the Mayor of Storrs, The Honorable Ryan Marciel Grace. He was talking throughout the game and got on the nerve of a couple Marquette players so they playfully kicked and threw the ball at him in hopes that it would quiet him.
That certainly didn't work.
Ryan Marciel Grace knows more about volleyball than anyone else I know. He should coach youth teams when he gets older.
Anyway I told this to a Volleyball coach and they said that they have seen much worse than a ball being kicked and thrown out a fan during a game.
That's sort of scary.
My random fact of the day is that Lauren "The Dirty Berti" Lamberti (That's the mayors nickname) told me when we were chatting that she once knocked out an opponent with one of her spike's when she was younger. That is impressive.
