Great Stress Relief

I have to admit that I love splitting fire wood. We had a big dead tree taken down and I am in the process of slowly splitting it. I like to think of it as a workout so I try to split the wood for maybe 20-30 minutes every day. Nothing can relieve stress quite like swinging an axe or a sledge hammer into a wedge.

I don't care how weird you think it is, but I love splitting wood. I feel so much better after doing that.

For some irony, splitting wood is also how my great grandpa died. He had a heart attack while doing it in 1944. (remember my family is really old..[I am the second youngest of all my cousins on both sides of my family]... hosting a party is like running a senior center)

So basically based on the fact that it killed my grandpa, you can call me a daredevil for splitting wood.
