New uniforms...NIKE

I like these new NIKE UConn football uniforms.

Both soccer teams will wear new uniforms too as both the men's and women's teams will be wearing NIKE.

I am happy about that. So is NIKE.

I must say that I love NIKE. My aunt had a house down the street from one of the founders of NIKE in Lebanon, New Hampshire. The name of the street is Poverty Lane....My aunt has nothing on Mr. NIKE (as we referred to him...I never met him but apparently he did throw parties for the neighborhood)...but she is a doctor. Doctor and a founder of NIKE on Poverty Lane. Interesting.

I must say that the sponsorship of Michael Jordan...and my love of Michael Jordan growing up, along with the sponsorship of the Dallas Cowboys...my favorite football team has cemented my allegiance with buying NIKE. I also think of Tiger Woods, Mia Hamm, Lance Armstrong and Michael Johnson's Gold Track Spikes from the 1996 Olympic games when it comes to NIKE. I also think of UConn. With those 7 athletes/teams I associate the word greatness. I associate NIKE with that greatness. I am doing exactly what NIKE wants me to do. They gambled that they would hook me with those sponsorships and they have. Good for them. I am not mad at them for making me spend money on almost exclusively their athletic and apparel products. They did a great job of Marketing.
