Bye Bye T

I feel bad for Tahirah Williams because she passed by me today and said what's up. I gave her a shy wave because I wasn't sure if she'd remember me. I want to apologize for not wishing her good luck next year and beyond.

Tahirah Williams is one of the best personalities to ever come through the UConn program. She has one of the better personalities that I've ever run into. You can't not love Tahirah. She was so energetic and really did a lot to support her teammates from the bench. I was so happy for her with her great game against Holy Cross. Everyone went crazy for Tahirah because she such a great person. Everyone wanted to see her have that career game. She also was a real contributor off the bench this season and played a lot of quality minutes.

Tahirah wasn't interviewed a lot when compared to the other players on the team, but Tahirah's wonderful personality and effective communication skills made her a great interview. It's a shame that not more people got to hear her. Her wonderful personality will surely pay off in any future in the broadcasting business. She will be great at that. I must say that Tahirah was one of my favorite people to interview.

She's also a very caring individual who represented the University of Connecticut well. She took part in the Husky Sport program and drove to Hartford to spend time with youth's there. She looked out for me once as she told me not to shoot from the stairs because she didn't think it would be safe. Then I got in on her, Tyrone Faverey and the kids shooting competition. Tahirah won, hitting several in a row. (We stood above the hoop on a deck and shot down on the hoop...It was challenging) I beat Tyrone. She also called my red shoes (Spider-man shoes)

I wish Tahirah the best in her future endeavors, whatever they may be. She will be perfect for broadcasting. Regardless, she, and her wonderful, upbeat personality will definitely be missed around campus.
