Another Soccer player

Lauren Ebert and Courtney Lazos (a transfer from Alabama [she's a New Jersey Native] to UConn for Women's Soccer) play for the New Jersey Wildcats along with Cory Bildstein.

There are only a few players on the UConn roster that I have no information on for summer league teams.

I wonder if any of the Men's players play in a summer league...starting my research and so far I have found nothing. I don't remember reading anything about them playing in summer leagues but we'll see if I find anything. I know that players on the baseball and women's soccer teams do compete in summer leagues.

Former UConn soccer Standout Ryan Cordiero has an assist in 4 games for the Real Maryland Monarchs.

O'Brian White is wearing number 17 for Toronto. He has not played in a game yet. He hurt his knee at UConn in the fall.

Julius James has gotten in two games for 33 minutes for the Houston Dynamo.

Isn't it a little weird that Renee Montgomery will have gotten on TV more often when she was in college then she is in the Pro's. Only one of the Minnesota Lynx games is on National TV. 6 will get on Fox Sports Net.

In what I think was an exhibition game;
Charde Houston had 10 points, 1 rebound and 2 assists
Renee Montgomery had 7 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.

Ketia Swanier played in two pre-season games for the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA. In those two games she has played 24 minutes, with 2 rebounds, a steal, 4 assists and 1 point.

Swanier has since been released by the Sun and according to a blog I read she is hoping to play in Europe.

Deon Anderson had 2 rushes for 3 yards for the Cowboys and 2 catches for 7 Yards and a touchdown...He's a fullback who started for the Cowboys. As a Cowboys fan I thought he was effective on Special Teams and as a blocker. He's been my favorite Fullback since Richie Anderson.

Larry Taylor had 6 punt returns for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns in one playoff game for the Montreal Alouettes in 2008.

Emeka Okafor averaged 13.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Also averaged 1.7 blocks per game. He started 81 of 82 games for the Bobcats.

Ray Allen averaged 18.2 points in the regular season along with 3.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for the Celtics.

Ben Gordon averaged 20.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game with the Bulls in the regular season.

I'll continue with more UConn NBA players later.

I figure if I research former soccer players, maybe I should also research stuff on former Basketball players. I mean it is Storrs, Connecticut. Soccer is really big there but we are often the Capital of Men's and Women's Basketball of the entire world.
