I remember the 1999 Men's National Championship Game. It was a school night and I was really rooting for UConn badly. My mom is a teacher. She knew the game was important to me, but she didn't let me stay up to see the 2nd half. I was probably mad, but also expected that I'd get that reaction from my mom. That made it a little easier to take. Both my parents went through basic training so I learned a long time ago not to try and get away with anything, and that too them almost everything comes before sports. Anyway I remember waking up the next morning not too sure about UConn's chances. Everyone said that Duke was going to win. Everyone turned out to be wrong. I was so thrilled when my mom came into my room in the morning and told me "They Won, UConn Won." I wish I remembered more from the game. I did tape the game so I have it somewhere at my house.
