So every once in a while the Athletic Department sells gear to the public. Some people line up as early as 5:40 for a chance to get what they want. Sweatpants, sweatshirts and jackets are often in high demand.
This year they also were selling Women's Basketball jerseys. $15 for jerseys without a number and $25 for a jersey with a number. I looked through the pile of jerseys and found a number 32, Kalana Greene, jersey. She was selected in the WNBA draft this year and was a key part of UConn's last two National Championships. I also believe that Kalana holds the record for most games played by a UConn player at 157. If I did my math right she played in 35, 36, 8, 39 and 39 games. The previous record holder was Renee Montgomery. Greene finished her career with 1,444 points, which is 17th best in school history.
I just framed the jersey and will hang it up in my game room.
