Some Stuff I bet you didn't know

There are a lot of things that I bet you don't know about rowing. One would be that there is strategy in rowing. It's a lot more complicated than you might think. Willis was telling me about it and we will continue to talk. I just had a meeting I had to get to today.

They have their feet attached in the boat, much like the cycling shoes that clip in. If there is an emergency in the boat they can easily get out. They also can move with in the boat. They sit on a sliding seat.

Rowing is an entire body workout. The legs are a critical part of rowing, as is the upper body. You must have strong legs to be good at any sport. You get your power in baseball from your lower body, from the opening of the hips. Try and hit without moving your hips.

Rowing is most definitely a sport that you need to try in order to understand just how difficult it is. It is not as easy as you think, or assume. Not only do you need to be in fantastic shape but you also need to have good rhythm and timing as a team so that way when you row, you row together. If you don't row together you end up going around in circles....or in college racing you probably don't go as fast as you should. I don't think in college you see any team, on it's worst day, go around in a circle.

The University of California is currently ranked first in Division 1 Women's Rowing, followed by Yale.
