I am pretty sure that I said that a UConn Softball pitcher would throw a no-hitter this year because it had been too long since one was thrown. Senior Rachael Crossin waited until the last day of the regular season to deliver on my prediction. She couldn't have scripted it any better, doing it on Senior Day and in front of her parents.
Jillian Ortega and Erin Burtner also homered on their senior days and Danielle DelPonte also made some noise in front of her family on senior day.
Sarah Neuschwander played for the first time in a long time.
Micah Truax and Meghan Tierney also played their final game at UConn's Softball field.
Justyne Roy followed through on my prediction that she is most likely on the team to get a double play...She caught a liner and stepped on first to make it happen. Sam and I argued about that one.
Willis Reed threw the red challenge flag and won. She was there and I was too busy talking to Sam and Christine to notice her.
I'm going to correct you on this one! because I ran by the softball game and stopped near the outfield....get your eyes checked because Willis was there (although not for long...my apologies)
ReplyDeletelol...my bad I was probably talking to Sam and Christine so I didn't see you
