I went cycling today and joined this...

I went out for my usual 26 mile ride in Ashburnham on this Saturday morning. It's really nice. I go out on Route 119, go past Mount Watatic, into New Hampshire, and stop at the Cathedral of the Pines, and see Mount Monadnock from a distance.

Usually it's just me and the road. There isn't too much traffic and often on the weekends all I hear are Harley's passing me by. Occasionally I hear gunshots going off at the shooting range too. That takes a little time to get used too. I always ride through there a little bit quicker than other places for obvious reasons.

Today I saw a lot more cyclists than usual. I wasn't sure what was going on. I past one guy. Then I past another. Still there was someone in front of me...who I passed right over the New Hampshire line. I thought it was really odd. It was like I had joined part of a race or tour. Than I saw these yellow cars with bike wheels on the back of them. I had indeed just out of chance joined a bike ride in progress. It was a Harpoon Beer Brewery to Brewery ride that started in Boston and will end in Vermont. I was quite surprised to all of a sudden join this. But I was more than happy to pass a few people before I turned off route 119 to continue on my ride.
