Two things

First of all, according to Greg M, Dwight Howard is the coolest pro athlete that he's ever met, and he's met a lot of them.

I wish Dwight Howard won a championship this past year.

He also told me that the Boston Garden wanted to win so badly at Game 7 that the entire place erupted in applause and cheer during a timeout in the 4th quarter when the Celtics were down by 15. That's amazing. I've never heard of anything like that. Kudos to Boston sports fans.

Secondly I am appalled at Sportscenter. I watched it on Monday or Tuesday and the second story of the show was about Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush splitting up.

First of all I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE RELATIONSHIP STATUS OF ANY ATHLETE. THAT WAS NOT SPORTS NEWS...It should not have even made the show, let alone be the second thing on the show. That should not have come before baseball highlights. What's even more pathetic is that I don't ever recall seeing any highlights from say a WPS game, but sportscenter did talk about an entertainer breaking up with an NFL player, who while flashy, and great in college, is not the next Barry Sanders or Emmitt Smith.

This sort of news story bugs me. There are so many things in sports that aren't covered that should be covered and talked about. The most reputable sports show in the country SHOULD NOT waste it's time and power on a story about the relationship status of an athlete.
