The Tulsa game

I also follow Men's Soccer. You might not be able to guess that. I just miss more and see less at men's games so it makes it more difficult for me to write about. I have more people distracting me at those games.

I wish it was has hard for me to talk about the women's games too. I wish more people were there to distract me.

One of the most gorgeous weathered games all year was the men's soccer game vs. Tulsa. It was picture perfect weather. The sky was red at night. It was a beautiful background for the soccer game. I was so comfortable at that soccer game, which tends to be an oxymoron at Storrs. I remember being cold at almost all of the soccer games. I was cold at actually almost every team I watched, especially cold when I was at the Women's lacrosse game when it was cold, when I had a cold and when it was raining out.

I remember just enjoying the nice summer weather that day for the Tulsa game. I also remember being antsy to leave my lake house so I could attend this soccer game. I never thought I'd say that, but I left early to get back in time for the start of a soccer game. (Later in the year, for the NCAA tournament game vs Creighton, I watched my first UConn game at my Lake House. It was Men's Soccer on my computer, over the internet. It was hard to watch, but I couldn't miss it.)

I remember that UConn was down for a good bit in the Tulsa game until O'Brian White scored the game tying goal really late in the game that sent everyone in the goal patrol nuts.

One thing that I know I haven't mentioned but should mention is that Akeem Priestley reminds me of a puppeteer because of what defenders do when he effortlessly moves the ball in tight spaces. I can't believe that hasn't come up before.

I loved watching Priestly play. I will really miss watching him.

So there you have it, the Tulsa game for Men's Soccer was also a really great game, with a solid ending and amazing weather.
