Someone told me

Someone once told me that gummy worms are good recovery food for a workout. I saw a bag recently and looked at the nutrition label out of curiosity. I saw some sodium, lots of sugar and 0% next to vitamins and healthy things.

I'm not a nutrition major, but I don't know how this is a recovery food. I'm interested to hear the reasoning behind that assertion.
