Today an athlete introduced herself to me. She knows I write, but I don't know what exactly she knows I write about. She might know about this and if she does she gets to actually read my mind. Most people wish they could do that. I like making wishes come true. She told me her name and I said "I know." Some people could take that the wrong way I guess. I mean that as a compliment. I know because I've watched that athlete play. I know they are talented, I've followed their career.
I know of other athletes the way most students know of the star basketball players. Sort of surprising for most athletes I guess. That's why I do it though. I say "I know" as a way of giving them respect. I want them to know that I think what they do is as important as other athletes on other teams. If Hasheem Thabeet introduces himself to me, he doesn't have to tell me his name, because I already know. If Jane Doe from such and such team introduces herself to me I want them to know that I know that they are a great athlete and that I am aware of their accomplishments.
On to my grades...this is just a short funny stat...104 on my Sports Management test, 97 on my Sports Law test...and swimming...yes swimming is the test I did worst on. I got an 85. Not drowning was cool though.
Now on to a day in the life of me...on Tuesday and Wednesday.
I love Tuesday's!!! I get to sleep in, and then I usually go study in the natatorium between 9-11. Then I go to swimming class. After swim class I have sports in society. It's a fun class. I learn a lot, and sometimes we get to watch movies. So sometimes I swim and then watch a movie. I have a tough life. On Tuesday's I go to practice after my class gets out. I am so glad to be at practice. You have no idea, I look forward to it. I look forward to them because it's an escape and it makes me feel useful. I'm more than happy to chase down a loose ball and assist however I can.
Wednesday I like just as much. I go from weightlifting, to sports management, to sports law to the entire practice. I get to the practice field before the players get their on Wednesdays. When I have so much free time it's easy to get bored. I look forward to practice so much because I feel useful. It gives my life some structure.
