The funny thing about soccer to me is how long it often takes to score. You wait and you wait and you anticipate and hope for so long. It's the build up of anticipation that makes everyone erupt so loudly when your team scores. It's that build up of anticipation that makes goals so special and so celebrated. Sometimes when you watch soccer you get the sense that you aren't supposed to score.
I don't mind that. I love 2-1 baseball games that are decided by bunts and infield hits. I love NL baseball. I wonder if NL fans would be slightly more likely to be soccer fans than AL baseball fans. I doubt there would be much of a correlation but who knows.
