Tree Hill Ravens 1st football game of the season

Storrs, Connecticut

The Shenkman complex has been home to many great athletes. It has served as the proving grounds for future NFL draft picks Donald Brown, Darius Butler and Cody Brown. It also will be home to future UConn great Dwayne Difton. Tonight it was home to one heck of a football game. A game worthy of being seen on ESPN Classic.

The Tree Hill Ravens got off to a quick start. Elvis had an interception that was returned for a touchdown and also added 3 more pass deflections. The Tree Hill Raven offense stalled after that, as they were unable to score again. The bright spot on offense for the Ravens was when Ryan Grace made a spectacular catch and run but it was brought back because of a penalty.

However, as they say, Defense wins championships. Eric Cato was spectacular on the defensive line. He looked like Deacon Jones out there. He had a critical sack late in the game and both he and Ryan Grace forced an intentional grounding call too that helped lead to a punt.

The only scoring for the opposing team came from a safety against the Ravens. As the final drive was shaping up the score was 6-2 Ravens. An opposing team's player made a spectacular catch in traffic to put them in Hail Mary range. However, just like Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens defense, the Tree Hill Ravens held tough and denied any hopes for the opposing team to pick up a win.

With the win the Tree Hill Ravens move to 1-0. Be sure to check in for more Tree Hill Raven news as the year progresses. The team regrets to announce that their post-game autograph session and photo opportunity will be canceled due to the expected bad weather. They hope you use mass transit to get to games so you can avoid traffic and accidents.

To become a member of the Tree Hill Raven Club be sure to post your name, address and telephone number. Benefits include exclusive invitations to Tree Hill Raven Themed Parties, and to even become Facebook friends with team players. One lucky fan will also be able to sit front row with Ryan Grace at a Volleyball game of your choice next year or sit with Ryan at a Women's Soccer game and hangout with one soccer player after the game! Don't miss the chance to take advantage of all these great offers.
