As I was doing my project for Husky Sport I remembered that there is a new record for a return at Shenkman. It is held by a 3rd grader, Stephen, from Ms. Defilio's class at Clark Elementary school in Hartford.
Husky Sport is a great program and you can take part in it by taking the class Service Learning Through Sport with Dr. Bruening. You really should take this as an elective. You get to give back to the Hartford community and learn a lot about other cultures. You will learn a lot about yourself and other people.

One thing I saw through Husky Sport was the need for military member's children to get some help reaching their goals in life. One child in Hartford had a mother who was in the service. She had trouble raising him overseas so she sent him back to live with his grandmother. He is a very energetic child who needs individual attention. Former UConn Women's Basketball Player Ketia Swanier has started a foundation to help military children. Both of her parents were in the military.

The last time Oklahoma's Courtney Paris was held scoreless in the first half was December 10th 2005.
