Well I am improving on the wakeboard. I get up without a problem and was able to go for a lap around our pond. I am beginning to get the feel for how to control the board so I'm happy with my progress. I also think I over-reacted when I said I needed a helmet. You really don't...instead we just needed to slow down the boat. Wakeboarding at waterskiing speed isn't recommended for a beginner.
Tom Watson was impressive to me at the British Open. I just turned on TV and saw Watson get up to the tee and hit a hole in one. Literally all I saw was Watson at the tee, swinging and hitting a hole in one. That's perfect timing as a viewer.
I am also proud of my aunt. She's 75 and had a stroke maybe five to ten years ago that inhibits her mobility. Last night she fell, and it's scary to see people you remember as young and active as scared and helpless when they can't control their bodies. Anyway she was able to get in the water two days ago. I wasn't here when it happened, but she was able to get in the water so we could say she went in for a swim. Somehow I don't think she thought she could do that. I'm very happy that she could proof to herself that she can do things that she didn't think she could do. I'm very happy for her.
