I'd be fine if it wasn't for

I'd be so happy and content right now if it wasn't for my GRE next week. That test scares me. I have a lot of preparing to do for that. My finals aren't going to kill me but that test is scaring me.

I can take it again if I don't do well, but I want to do well so I can avoid having to take the test again.

I learned these things but I just haven't done them in so long.

The vocabulary is also difficult on this test. I don't generally use big words because I believe that in order to communicate effectively you need to be able to make sure that your message is understood. I think that using big and rarely used words makes communication more difficult.
