He was clearly out

How about we give the Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga a perfect game after seeing the game on instant replay.

Jim Joyce made a mistake and he easily owned up to it. We all know it was a perfect game. Why on earth can't we just give the kid credit for it in the record books?

Why can't we just take the at bat away from the last Cleveland Indian? Do you think that Indian really wants an extra out in his batting average? Do you think the Indian who got that hit wants credit for a cheap hit in his statistics?

Umpires make mistakes, why can't we just make the game what it should have been, a perfect game? Who would argue with doing that? You can't tell me it's not as arbitrary as giving a closer who blows a save a win if his team scores a run in the bottom of the inning, or giving an error on a play. Errors aren't black and white. There are a lot of judgement to those.

Can't we just do the right thing and give Armando Galarraga a perfect game.

To Galarraga's credit he also didn't argue about anything which makes me think he deserves credit for what he did even more. That amazes me because even I would have lost my mind if a call was blown that badly.

I hope that MLB, The Tigers, Indians and Jim Joyce get together and do the right thing, which is give Armando Galarraga what he deserves, a perfect game to his credit. Unfortunately the only way his game will be remembered in 10 years is if it is listed in a record book.

If it isn't changed by MLB I think every sports information director should be able to put it on the perfect game list, or atleast list it and put an asterisk next to it.
