I don't write a lot about fishing. I don't know why. It's a sport...I guess.
Today I was up at 4 am and decided to go fishing. I caught nothing, which didn't surprise me or bother me because it was beautiful out. The water was a mirror and was as smooth as a used car salesman. I could also hear the loons and ducks in the background. The birds were singing and I could smell the freshness of the water and woods.
Fishing for me is a sport for escape. It's not something I take part in for action, it's something I take part in to get away from the world. It's relaxing and gets my mind off of work or any problems I might have. Fishing is therapeutic, the way cycling I guess is for me too. I also have the added benefit of being in the water and having a dock to cast off of. It makes fishing so convenient and stress free.
