Someone was in awe of me

So I was at the driving range today. I hit my sand wedge BEAUTIFULLY. They got so high in the air that I didn't see them when I looked up. I was always really happy with where they wound up.

Anyway I took out my driver and swung away. I got a few pointers and improved my accuracy a little bit. Anyway I hit them really well. When I was done one of the workers came over to me and was like "you are a REALLY fast learner. You are really good for a beginner. Really good" The teenager seemed to be in awe of me.

It was an awesome feeling. I of course said something like "Oh I was just lucky" even though I knew I hit it pretty well. You can tell when someone seems genuinely amazed or impressed. This kid didn't seem to be B.S.ing. The way he came up to me, the way he spoke, and his facial expression told me that he was for someone reason impressed. I am not THAT good, but it is really cool to have someone come up to you like that. I don't remember that happening in any other sport I played.

I also realized that driving distance is computed by the amount in the air and the amount it rolls, not just the amount in the air. In that case I may have hit close to a 300 yard drive, if not that far. Certainly I'd say 275 is a distance I have reached.
