Three straight cycling posts? Que?
Well if cycling is making the news on ESPN it's for one of three reasons. The least likely of those three is that someone won the Tour de France. The more likely reasons are that a man dressed up as the Burger King mascot ran into a cyclist and causes a crash or it involves performance enhancing drugs.
I'm waiting for the day that we find out Lance Armstrong got some help. It's not a day I look forward to, not a day I hope happens but I just have that feeling that he probably did some funny business to help him win. I like Lance, I think he was one of the best sports stories of the past decade. He's done a lot of good with Livestrong. He's also a Nike athlete which makes me like him even more. (I wonder what would happen to Nike if two of their biggest high profile athletes were involved in scandals with him and Tiger)
Floyd Landis seems to be implicating a lot of people and Lance Armstrong made some comments that didn't particularly convince me that he was innocent. He seemed more defensive then offensive. He didn't come off to me as "No I did not do that." Rather he was saying that Floyd Landis has no credibility.
I think Lance probably did some things to help him. I hope and pray that isn't true, and I've also always maintained that his story is so good that even if it was true I'd hope we would never find out.
You can judge for yourself.
