I got a chance to impress the goalkeepers at practice today. I didn't impress. I can assure you of that. I was called upon to drill some shots at Division I Soccer Goalkeepers. I haven't taken a shot in soccer since about Division VII 8 year old soccer. My job was to get shots on frame and my guess was that I got 60% at best on frame. I did my best and I knew that for me, it was actually a lot better than what I would have done a while ago. I wanted to take soccer in school next semester but it isn't being offered.
I know I went top 90 on someone. I told them it was the first time I had ever done that. I feel bad for making the goalies have to chase after a shot here and there when I missed. The funny thing is that I had no idea how many shots I made or got close. After I shot I was supposed to send a pass to a coach for them to shoot and actually Challenge the goalies. I concentrated on getting off a quick pass and never really looked to see if I made them.
Anyway it was a cool experience.
