Obviously I was shocked and saddened by the news of Steve McNair's death. It's really sad that he passed away so soon for reasons that haven't been figured out yet. I never really watched him play that much until the playoffs came around. I did root for him in the Super Bowl when they played against the Rams. What I always remember the commentators saying about him was that he was tough. He was a mobile quarterback who took hits and kept playing. I always respected him as a player because of that. He seemed like a great guy, and he was nominated for the NFL's Man of the Year award once. It is sad to see him and so many other memorable people die this past week. For some people July 4, 2009 meant something totally different than the celebration of our nation's independence.
All I can say is something that I remember from HBO's hit TV show, and one of my favorite all time TV Shows "Six Feet Under" "Death is what makes life important."
With all of the good we know about Steve McNair it's easy to see that he did make his life important.
