I just saw Hasheem being surrounded by drunk people looking for photographs...Leave the poor guy alone people. I know he's a star, a nice guy but give the guy a break and let him eat his dinner in peace and quiet. If Hasheem is posing for pictures then it's ok to ask him...if he says no respect that...but if he is avoiding you leave him alone.
I love sports, I know I can recognize at least half probably 70-75% of the athletes at UConn...I might know 5% of them...I'd love to talk to any athlete about anything related to sports...If they needed someone to vent to after a game I'll listen...I'll straighten out their mind if their not thinking right...if they want it. I am a huge fan, I support and will say hello to my friends on teams but I will not go up to athletes I don't know or bother them when they don't want or should not be bothered. Sometimes people need to step back and realize that Hasheem is a human being too and he probably would like to be able to go out every once in awhile without being bothered by requests. So if Hasheem is open to requests, by all means say hello and meet a great guy and basketball player...but if he's tired and busy respect that.
