Student Athlete Handbook

I was reading some rules, guidelines and tips for athletes. My favorite one stated this:

All Post Practice treatments (athletic training) will only be administered after an athlete takes a shower.

Some other ones

Drug testing is random for all athletes and for people under suspicion. Tests must be performed for all athletes that take part in any round of an NCAA championship.

While in the varsity weight-room athletes are not supposed to use audio devices.

A tip for Athletes in the handbook for good academics is to avoid sitting with other student athletes....I've never seen that one followed.

You are not supposed to borrow or share equipment or clothing with other athletes..even on your own team....I wonder if I saw 28 wearing something with a 3 on it.

You are supposed to keep your locker clean.....If I was an athlete I'd violate that one.

Uniforms, workout equipment and warm ups are to be used during official athletic practices or events. It is not intended for everyday or personal use....But what if they have swag?

Family and Friends are not allowed in locker rooms.

All new injuries and illness must be reported in person by 9am the next day to athletic trainers.

Every incoming freshman athlete has a physical, as do all returning athletes.

During interviews athletes should acknowledge a team effort and also dress well.

Study Halls are mandatory for some groups of athletes and some individual athletes.

It's interesting for someone who likes sports as much as I do. Those were the highlights and still probably more than you care to know.
