CONTRACT EXTENSION

NEW BEDFORD, Massachusetts --
The Tree Hill Ravens have announced that head Volleyball Captain Ryan Grace will have his contract renewed for two more seasons. Grace has helped lead the Ravens on the court with his impressive knowledge of the game. An un-named member of the Block Party had this to say about Grace's knowledge of Volleyball "Ryan knows so much about Volleyball that at times he seems to know more about the game then the referees do. He probably spends 5 minutes at every game speaking to the refs about calls. His knowledge is comforting and I'm sure it helps him prepare his team for the challenge of UConn Intramural Volleyball." Grace is also said to be very talkative on the court which helps direct the positioning of his teammates.

Grace played High School Volleyball for the New Bedford High School Whalers and learned some of the fundamentals of the game from coaching greats such as Tim O'Brien and Steve DeRossi. Grace loves the 6-2 formation that was used under DeRossi. Grace was the setter and Co-Captain of his Volleyball team in his senior season. A team that went 18-0 in the regular season. One of the most meaningful wins in Grace's career was New Bedford's 3-2 victory over Catholic Memorial, the undefeated and top seeded team in the MIAA Division 1 Sectional final. Catholic jumped out to a 2-0 lead but New Bedford won the final 3 games to take the match. This game has impacted Grace's leadership style, a style that proclaims "never say die." His team dominated in Big 3 play, in his senior year winning the teams 18th straight Big 3 title. Grace's Legacy has ultimately been the "saving Grace" for the Tree Hill Ravens. Despite some trials and tribulations in his contract year Tree Hill played well enough to lead Intramural Volleyball in Attendance. Under Grace's leadership the team also was serenaded with a slow clap whenever they were at a game point by the Guyer Gymnasium faithful.

The terms of the contract have not fully been disclosed but it is rumored to be a deal for 2 seasons and reportedly 50 flex passes. Should Grace have a winning record he is entitled to one-quarter of one month's flex passes as a bonus and for winning an Intramural Championship he is entitled to one half month of flex passes as a bonus. Should the team lead the league in attendance he will receive one month's pay of flex passes as a bonus. Should Ryan Grace achieve all of his goals he could get 60 flex passes when the 2 seasons are all said and done. Grace is now the highest paid Volleyball Captain in UConn Intramural Volleyball history. Grace's incentives reportedly include a membership to the Softball Club, Season Tickets to Softball and Lacrosse and Softball and Lacrosse T-shirts. Grace will receive 4 court side seats for friends and family and an additional courtside seat for an unnamed Tree Hill Raven super-fan. 2 additional courtside seats will be made available for Jack Nicholson and Spike Lee should they follow in her footsteps. He will receive 4 Women's Soccer Media Guides and will get a 150 mile yearly biking credit for transportation. Grace is said to be privately celebrating with family and friends and will resume speaking to the media in the New Year.
